Voyage Types
There are four voyage types that a guest can experience. You can find which voyage type each vessel will provide by looking at the vessel information section located directly under the rating/review section on each vessel lisiting page.
Self Guided
- A traditional rental experience, you operate the vessel.
Captain Available
- For an additional $100/day you can hire a private Captain to operate the vessel for you.
Captained
- Either some vessels require a Captain, or an additional service is provided. In either case, a Captain will operate the vessel for you.
Chartered
- Similar to a Captained vessel, Chartered voyages are exclusively single day voyages that could be either Half Day or Full Day.
QR Placement Help
To avoid an application rejection we ask that at least one image that you upload in your vessel application contains your Boatur QR code positioned beneath (or near) the Hull Identification Number (HIN). With these two identifiers positioned in the same image, it allows our review team to validate your vessel and continue with the approval process.
Vessel Placement
- Download your personal Boatur QR code, and print it out large enough to be scannable from the photo. Physically adhere this QR to the applicable vessel by taping it beneath or near the Hull Identification Number (HIN). As seen In this image below.
Ideal Photo
- The ideal photo would have the QR printed large enough to be easily scannable from the image. Adhering the QR near the HIN helps avoid any issues in the application process. Try scanning the QR in the image below (from another device), you will be able to do the same with your photo to verify your QR is scannable. Once approved you may replace any images on your slideshow containing the QR code. You may also remove the QR code from your vessel, or leave it and use it to promote your Boatur Account!
Cancelations & Refunds

To initiate a cancellation or refund process, please navigate to the specific voyage's booking details. On the right-hand side, you will find the appropriate button. Please be aware that all cancelled/refunded bookings result in partial reimbursements.
Please refer to our Terms for further details.
Cancelations
- Either the Guest or Vessel Host can choose to cancel the voyage up until the predetermined voyage departure time, as selected by the Guest.
Refunds
- Refunds may be granted up to 24 hours following the predetermined voyage arrival time, as selected by the Guest.
Rain Checks
-
Boatur does not officially endorse rain checks, but Vessel Hosts have the discretion to offer them if Guests agree. While these situations are non-refundable, they can help address inconveniences such as adverse weather conditions.
