Promo Code Best Practices

To create your first promo code, you need a reliable Referrer. A Referrer is a party that promotes your vessel, receiving 1% of your commission per booking via their code. The right Referrer broadens your audience, leveraging their networks and attracting new Guests. Ideal Referrers include bait shops, hotels, realtors, social media influencers, or anyone interacting with out-of-town visitors. You can have multiple Referrers. By increasing visibility, you enhance potential bookings and revenue, benefiting both parties. It's a win-win situation.

Creating a Boatur Promo Code

With a Referrer chosen, the first step is their registration on Boatur. They first must create a Boatur account, they can create one as an individual or Business. Upon logging in, they can access the Referrer Portal via the on mobile or within the profile section from the side menu ≡. After filling out a form with your Host Connect account ID, first and last name, they'll be linked to you and can create their Connect account. Once registered, they can refer any Boatur Host. As you already have a Connect account, you can also be a Referrer to other Hosts!

Navigate to your Host Portal and click Promo Codes. This section will display your promo code usage and status. To create a new promo code, click + Create Promo. Enter the Referrer's Connect ID, their name, and email. Create a unique 8-character code (6 letters, 2 numbers). Choose a discount up to 75% (typically 5-15%). Decide on an expiration date, if any. There's no limit to the code usage. Submit your promo and you're ready to start promoting!

Your promo code page now displays the code, along with the information provided during creation, and your Boatur QR code. At the bottom of each code, view total bookings and earnings from the Referrer. You can edit or delete codes as needed. This feature allows you to adjust expiration dates and discount amounts based on individual performances, ensuring a tailored and effective promotional strategy.
